Identified and explored by Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) in 2012, this route offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas. This route passes through two conservation areas of eastern Nepal: Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and Makalu Barun Conservation Area. This route is rich in both natural and cultural beauty. Trekkers can see a variety of birds and animals, including endangered red panda and snow leopard from this route. Through this route, we can also reach the base camps of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Makalu. Tamor and Arun are two of the tributaries of Saptakoshi River that lie on this route. Similarly, a number of high mountain lakes can be seen at Olangchung Gola. Alpine Grasslands, rocky outcrops, tropical and temperate forests and low river valleys are encountered as we move along this route. Also, there are cultural heritages like temples, monasteries, prayer wheels, etc.
